Sacramento July 19, 2009 - An early morning electrical fire disrupted numerous travelers at the Sacramento International Airport. Firefighters responded for a fire alarm at 4:41 A.M. this morning. Airport Firefighters arrived and found heavy smoke on the second floor of terminal A. A second alarm was requested to bring in additional Firefighters.
Sacramento Firefighters arrived and assisted Airport Firefighters. The fire was located in an electrical room on the second floor and quickly extinguished. All passengers in terminal A were evacuated. After Firefighters ventilated the smoke, the travelers were allowed back inside. There were no reported injuries and the cause is still under investigation.
