QUINCY, Calif. Aug. 31, 2010 - Join the Sierra Buttes Trail Stewardship (SBTS) for trail work parties in celebration of National Public Lands Day on Saturday, September 25th. This event celebrates service and recreation on public lands and is the nation's largest hands-on volunteer effort to improve and enhance the public lands Americans enjoy.
The SBTS will be heading up three different trail work projects located near Bucks Lake, and include:
Bucks Creek Loop Trail, the Pacific Crest Trail and Granite Gap Trail. Volunteers will meet at the White Horse Campground off of the Bucks Lake/Oroville HWY and will depart for trail projects from there. All of the food, tools and after work party will be provided to volunteers for the day.

What: SBTS trail work parties in celebration of National Public Lands Day
When: Saturday, September 25th
Where: Volunteers will meet at the White Horse Campground located off of the Bucks Lake/Oroville HWY at 9:00am. Volunteers will choose their trail project and depart from the campground. The after-work BBQ and party will be held at Bucks Lakeshore Resort at 3:00pm.

More: Come get dirty with us – all volunteers will be rewarded with breakfast snacks, a sack lunch, and an after work BBQ with cold drinks compliments of Sierra Nevada Brewery at the end of the day.
Volunteers of all ages and abilities are encouraged to attend. Please bring your own work gloves, water and sun protection. SBTS will provide all of the tools needed.
