PG&E energized third and final customer on New Year's Eve

By: Brian Swanson, PG&E

Jan. 2, 2009 - On Wednesday, December 31, PG&E energized the third and final customer living in the DarkHorse subdivision on Alexis Court. PG&E crews previously energized two homes on Ironwood Court on December 23.

After receiving a contract from Nevada County on December 18, PG&E immediately began work to complete construction on the electrical infrastructure in DarkHorse that was left partially completed by the developer before he went bankrupt.

PG&E has worked closely with the County and the homeowners to help facilitate the contract and complete the electrical work left unfinished by the developer. By having a contract in place with the County this year, PG&E was able to begin energizing homes in time for the New Year while maintaining the original, less expensive contract costs established in 2006.
