July 25, 2010 - Affected Area: The Lake Tahoe Basin including the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest in the Carson Range.
Thunderstorms: Scattered thunderstorms will develop by early afternoon mainly along the South and East side of the Tahoe Basin. Storms will produce wetting rains and abundant lightning by late afternoon.
Outflow Winds: Gusty outflow winds up to 50 mph are possible.
Impacts: Lightning will create new fire starts and combine with strong outflow winds to produce rapid fire growth.
A red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions will occur.
Area: Greater Lake Tahoe Area
