DONNER SUMMIT, Calif. March 26, 2009 - Sugar Bowl Resort has announced plans for a summer-long calendar of activities and events for 2009, launching a "Summer on the Summit" campaign that offers recreational, dining and corporate event opportunities to the local, leisure travel and group markets. Long known for exceptional skiing and riding during the winter months, Sugar Bowl now enhances its overall offerings with vast and varied summertime programs:
July 4 - Labor Day: The renowned Four Peaks Restaurant serves up fine dining in the classic Lodge at Sugar Bowl, while the Belt Room Bar provides an inviting and comfortable atmosphere for Pacific Crest hikers. Take a scenic drive up Old Highway 40 with majestic views of Donner Lake and Truckee just beyond, to a high-alpine setting and a memorable outing.
July 20 - July 31: Summer on the Summit Day Camps offers kids ages 4 - 17 the chance to experience all that the Donner Summit area has to offer, from arts & crafts and nature hikes for the little ones to adventure-driven outings for the older kids. July 18 - August 2: Parents of kid-campers and any interested adults can join-in on adventure outings ranging from coordinated golf days to wellness yoga sessions to hikes from Sugar Bowl to Squaw Valley. Visit here for more information and activity calendars.
