Mar. 12, 2010 - Wolf Creek Community Alliance has recently received generous support for our programs, for which we would like to say thank you to our community.
- We have received a $5,000grant from The Tides Foundation for our water-quality monitoring program.
- We have received $5,000 from "As-You-Sow" for general support, which helps us with office expenses, and outreach and education including boothing and hosting public meetings.
- The Nevada Irrigation District is contributing to our monitoring program, helping with chemicals and equipment, in addition to providing office space.
- We have received a $2,000 grant from the Strong Foundation for our monitoring program.
- Local Nevada City company, Automata, has donated an automated monitoring station. This will be installed on Wolf Creek near the Bear River, and will continuously record flow information, pH, temperature and conductivity readings. The data will be immediately available via satellite relay.
- Thanks to our new and continuing members that responded to our recent fund drive.
- Thanks to all our volunteers that dedicate so much time and energy to protecting our beautiful Wolf Creek.
